Peters

William J. Peters, 69, of Sarver died Wednesday at his home.

Born June 7, 1937, in Boggsville, Armstrong County, he was the son of Ernest and Rozella Ewing Peters.

He served in the Navy.

Mr. Peters was a truck driver for the U.S. Postal Service. He also was a driver for many trucking firms as well as an independent driver and had worked at the U.S. Steel Sintering Plant in Saxonburg.

He was a member of the John E. Maier Lodge 729 F&AM, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Lodge Council Chapter Valley of Pittsburgh, the Syria Shrine Canters singing group, the Syria Caravan 14 of Butler and the Hillbillies Shrine group.

He was a former member of the Butler Moose and the Sunset Riders, where he took part in many charity runs.

He enjoyed working on cars, trucks and anything with wheels, auctions, gardening, reading western novels and hunting. He loved his golden retrievers and Cowboy Kitty.

Surviving are his wife, Judith Brozenich Peters, whom he married April 9, 1999; three sons, Richard Peters of Butler, William J. Peters, Jr. of Colorado and Jonathan Peters of Butler; three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Beth) Fishel, Darci Wetzel and Mrs. Ken (Leslie) Ellis, all of Butler; a brother, Robert Peters of Cabot; and a sister, Mrs. Ronald (Diane) Langford of Ligonier.

He also is survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Richard and Larry.

<B>PETERS</B> — Friends of William J. Peters, who died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
