2:10 a.m. today — Melissa Solkovy, 19, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at New Castle Road and Route 68 in Butler Township.7:40 p.m. Saturday — Dennis Weber, 42, of Zelienople was seriously injured when his car sideswiped another car and then struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Weber, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter with undisclosed injuries to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.Police said Sean Lutz, 20, of Evans City was driving the car sideswiped in the crash.5 a.m. Saturday — Acar driven by Justin Hiles, 23, of Petrolia struck a utility pole along Route 268 near Surface Mine Road in Parker Township1:11 a.m. Saturday — Phillip Hilliard, 28, of Hilliards was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Sabrina Maire, 29, of Hilliards during a domestic dispute at a Cemetery Road home in Venango Township. Hilliard was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond.Saturday — Police reported someone stole the identity of a Jefferson Township woman, used the information to set up a credit card account and charged $5,048 to the account. The case of identify theft, still under investigation, occurred in February 2005.8:25 p.m. Friday — Howard Barnes, 44, of Chicora was arrested for DUIin Route 308 in Cherry Township.6:30 p.m. Friday — A14-year-old boy, who police did not identify, while in the midst of a temper tantrum threw a telephone that struck a 1-month-old baby in the forehead at a Porter Road home in Marion Township. Police did not say if the baby was injured. The boy was cited for disorderly conduct.Friday — A12-year-old boy, who police did not identify, is accused of threatening a pair of 12-year-old girls at a dance for sixth grade Slippery Rock Middle School students at the Slippery Rock Township building. The boy faces a charge of terroristic threats.11:23 p.m. Thursday — Dennis Wells, 38, of Butler was arrested for DUIat Center and Brown avenues in Butler.Wednesday — Two Lawrence County women were cited in separate crashes less than 30 minutes apart on ice-covered Route 108 near West Park Road in Worth Township.Police said the first crash occurred about 7:20 p.m. when a car driven by Megan Santillo, 23, of Ellwood City slid off the road and hit a mailbox and utility pole. Santillo, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.At 7:48 p.m., a car driven by Terri Barcheck, 29, of Volant skidded into Santillo's wrecked car on the side of the road. Police cited both women for driving too fast for conditions.

Sunday — Mark Elmstrom reported someone stole a green and black Next Chaos bike from the porch of his West New Castle Street home. The bike, valued at $100, was taken between 11 a.m. Saturday and 1:20 a.m. Sunday.

12:52 a.m. today — Mark Fredenberg, 47, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 60 in Pulaski Township, Lawrence County.
