EVANS CITY — Aham and meatloaf buffet dinner will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 202 Van Buren St.

Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the family of infant Lydia Grace Critchlow, who was born premature and died after 9 months.

The dinner will also feature entertainment by Divine Ridge and a Chinese auction.

Cost for the dinner is a donation. Takeouts are available.

BUTLER TWP — Lifesteps will host free Child Check developmental screenings for children age 5 and younger from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, Zelienople.Each screening takes about 30 minutes and results will be discussed with parents immediately.Appointments are recommended. CENTER TWP — The Pennsylvania Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement and the Butler County Treasurers office will offer information and dog licenses at the Clearview Mall today and Saturday during the Health, Wealth, Wellness and More expo.Licenses will be available for purchase and a gift certificate drawing will be held.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Area Parks and Recreation department is now accepting registration for several upcoming classes.A Red Cross Lifeguarding class will begin Feb. 16. Basic knitting will be offered beginning Feb. 12.Other classes include scrapbooking, beginning Feb. 22 and Kiddie Crafts and More beginning March 1.For information or to register, call 724-794-8180 or 724-794-8181.
