Paul Stephenson
Paul W. Stephenson, 77, of Villa Drive died Saturday at his home.
Born April 1, 1929, in Butler Township, he was the son of Will-iam S. Stehenson and Ruth E. Davis.
He retied in 1991 as a locomotive crane operator in the transportation department at AK Steel after 35 years.
Mr. Stephenson was a former manager of the Yankees Baseball Team, originally known as the Meridian Little League.
He served on the advisory board of Butler Rainbow Girls. He also was assistant manager and manager of the Meridian Fife and Drum Corps and took the corps to Romania in 1973.
He was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church and a former member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He belonged to the United Commercial Travelers 465 and was past grand councilor of Pennsylvania. He also was a member of the Armco Veterans' Club.
He was a Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Susan J. Robb Stephenson; two stepsons, Mark G. Snyder of Korea and Steven D. Snyder of Morehead, Ky.; and a step-grandson, Alex Snyder of Richmond, Va. A sister, Mrs. Glenn (Mildred) McClelland of Renfrew, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A sister and a brother preceded him in death.
