Marie Maxim of Butler celebrated her 90th birthday recently with a dinner at the home of her son, William Maxim Jr., in Butler.

The former Marie Uram was born Jan. 29, 1917, in Butler. She married William Maxim on Aug. 31, 1938. He is deceased.

She has three children, Carole Marini of Fresno, Calif., Rosemarie Gaiser of Chicora and William Maxim Jr. of Butler. She also has three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Maxim is a retired homemaker. A life member of St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora, she is the only living original resident of Cliffside Apartments in Butler.
