Nancy L. Boyd
Nancy L. Boyd, 71, of Butler died Tuesday after a short illness.
Born March 28, 1935, in West Sunbury, she was the daughter of Carl T. and Nellie Duffy Anderson and the stepdaughter of Thelma Thompson Anderson.
She was a member of the North Street Christian Church.
Mrs. Boyd enjoyed playing cards in several card clubs and was a former member of the Buco Travel Trailer Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Ewart Boyd, who died Nov. 22, 1995.
Surviving are two sons, William L. Boyd of Central City, Colo., and David B. Boyd and his wife, Panola, of San Antonio, Texas; and a granddaughter, Ana Sophia Boyd.
She also is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Charles (Polly) Golla of New Castle, Mrs. Donald (Carol) Barone of Austintown, Ohio, Mrs. Russell (Bert) Lawton of Butler, Mrs. Willis (Doris) Bortmas of Karns City, Mrs. Allan (Kathy) Baker of Chicora, and Mrs. Dennis (Beverly) Schnitski of Butler; four brothers, Carl "Bud" Anderson of Butler, Glenn Anderson of Chicora and Kenneth and Dale Anderson, both of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
<B>BOYD</B> — Friends of Nancy L. Boyd, who died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St.Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with her pastor, the Rev. Robert Huber and the Rev.
