Charlotte J. McClure Ayres, 85, of Zelienople died Monday afternoon at UPMC Passavant Cranberry surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Pittsburgh, Nov. 15, 1921, she was the daughter of George and Esther Hilberg McClure.

She was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church, Zelienople. She also was a member of Rebecca Lodge in Conneaut Lake.

Mrs. Ayres had worked at McCandless Pre-School for 21 years.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas K. " Dink" Ayres, whom she married Dec. 9, 1942; a son and his wife, Thomas and Cynthia Ayres of Harmony; two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia J. Ayres of Durban, South Africa and Shirley and Dale Scholfieldm of Cranberry Township; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Matthews of Florida.

She also is survived by four grandchildren, Jamie Ayres Heusey of Zelienople, Stephanie (Craig) Codeluppi of Monroeville, Jodie (Aaron) Ayres Mohnkern of Grove City and Jeffrey (Connie) Eaton of Pittsburgh; and four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Chloe, Nathan and Daniel.

She was preceded in death by a brother Robert McClure.

<B>AYRES </B>— Friends of Charlotte J. McClure Ayres, who died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Bertoti, her church pastor, and the Rev. Ralph Fogel, a retired Presbyterian minster, officiating.Burial will be at Pinewood Memorial Park, Cranberry Township.Memorial donations may be made to L.A.S. Passavant Foundation, 401 S.
