Graduates
James Mikesell graduated magna cum laude from Penn State University recently, receiving a bachelor of science degree in information sciences and technology.A dean's list student, he was the recipient of the President's Freshman Academic Award, the Commonwealth Campus Scholarship, South Family Scholarship and the Crawford Foundation Scholarship. He was also a recipient of an academic award upon graduation.While at the university, Mikesell was active in the Coalition for Christian Outreach.A 2003 graduate of Butler High School, he is the son of Bob and the Rev. Kathy Mikesell of Butler.Mikesell has accepted a position as a software development engineer for pharmacy operations at McKesson Automation in Cranberry Township.———
<B>Ashleigh Hay Machak</B> graduated from the paralegal education program at Villanova University recently, receiving a paralegal certification.While at the university, she received an academic achievement award.The daughter of Edward and Mary Ann Hay of Butler, she is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and a 2006 graduate of Grove City College, where she received a bachelor's degree in finance.Machak is employed with the law firm of Pogust and Braslow in Conshohocken.She resides in Philadelphia with her husband Darren Machak.
