KC girls drop Warriors

Karns City's Tausha Bowser drives past Moniteau's Maura McCaslin Thursday in the Gremlins' 51-35 victory over the Warriors.

The Karns City girls basketball team featured four players with at least eight points in a 51-35 win over Moniteau Thursday.

Haley Callihan paced the Gremlins (15-4, 12-2) with 13 points, while Amy Gladd scored 22 for the Warriors.

Freeport routed Sewickley Academy 8-1 in PIHL Class A, while McDowell downed Butler 3-1 in Class AAA play and Pine-Richland rolled past Knoch 14-1 in a Class AA contest.
