Falcons continue to soar

Grove City High's Josh Wood controls Slippery Rock's Bill Finkbeiner during their 215-pound match Wednesday. Wood grabbed a 10-4 decision over Finkbeiner to help the Eagles beat the Rockets 44-34.

Ryan Jackson tallied 16 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots as the A-C Valley boys basketball team continued to roll with a 51-33 win over Cranberry Wednesday.

The Falcons (11-7, 9-5) got off to a slow start, trailing 21-19 at the half, but took control in the final two quarters, holding Cranberry to 12 points.

Garrett Greathouse added 13 points for A-C Valley.
