12:44 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Robert Merriman, 29, of Butler and a sport utility vehicle driven by Ronald Thalhofer, 51, of Butler Township collided on East Birch Street.

5:15 p.m. Tuesday — A fugitive suspected of drug trafficking in the Butler area was extradited from Florida to Butler County.Harry King IV, 22, of Pillow Street faces a hearing later this week on nine felony counts in connection with a drug investigation that began in September 2005.He is being held in Butler County Prison on $225,000 bond.Police described King as a "mid-level cocaine dealer." Authorities charged King for allegedly selling one-half ounce of cocaine to a police informant at the Point Plaza parking lot in Butler Township. He later fled the state before his case went to court.Florida authorities on Jan. 16 arrested him in Jacksonville at the home of a former Butler resident who is in the U.S. Coast Guard.Apreliminary hearing for King is set for 8:30 a.m. Friday before District Judge Pete Shaffer. The defendant is charged with three counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility, as well as conspiracy.Monday — Kathryn Lumley, 49, of Eau Claire is accused of violating a court-issued protection from abuse order by leaving phone voicemails at the home of Jeffery Steiner on Sindone Lane in Bruin. Lumley is charged with indirect criminal contempt.3:18 p.m. Jan. 23 — Sport utility vehicles driven by Arthur Bowman, 51, of West Sunbury and Barbara Zablotsky, 26, of Butler collided at Ietto and Holyoke roads in Center Township. Bowman was cited for a stop sign violation.

Monday — Vehicles driven by Cody Wynkoop, 22, of Kittanning and Mark Jones, 36, of Sarver collided on Old Route 28 in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.
