Nazaruk, Lavorini

Kristyn and Michael Lavorini

Kristyn Nazaruk and Michael Lavorini, both of Burtonsville, Md., were united in marriage at 2 p.m. June 24 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz officiated. A reception followed at Betsy's Barn at the Cheeseman Farm in Portersville.

The bride is the daughter of George and Carol Nazaruk of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Dino Jr. and Lynda Lavorini of Butler.

The maid of honor was Angela McGee of Butler. Bridesmaids included Julie Lavorini of Denver; Kay Marie Lavorini of Washington, D.C.; Georgette Hinkle of Erie; Laura Courson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Amanda Wadsworth of New Orleans; and Laura Buckreis of Beaver.

Performing the duties of best man was Dino Lavorini III of New York City. Ushers included David Nazaruk, Nathan Vavro, Ryan Ohl, James Patrick McCormick and Corry Williamson, all of Butler, and Brian Slater of Durham, N.C.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Butler High School and a 2003 graduate of Slippery Rock University. She is employed by Verizon Wireless in Baltimore.

The bridegroom graduated in 1999 from BHS and in 2004 and 2005 from Clarion University. He works at Charles H. Flowers High School in Springdale, Md.

Following a honeymoon trip to Dunns River, Jamaica, the couple is making their home in Burtonsville.
