The Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division soon will start its statewide Mock Trial Competition.

Several high schools will compete in the Region 2, District 1 competition at 6 p.m. Feb. 12 and 13 on the fourth floor of the Butler County Courthouse.

Butler HighSchool, Freeport High School, Moniteau High School — teams 1 and 2, Seneca Valley Intermediate High School, Seneca Valley Senior High School and Slippery Rock HighSchool will compete against each other, and against other schools in Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence counties.

The winner of District 1 will advance to compete against the winner of District 2, which includes schools from Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Venango and Warren counties.
