Eleanor M. Headland

Eleanor M. Headland, 89, of Chicora died at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday at the Sunnyview Home.

Born in Greece City, June 30, 1917, she was the daughter of John H. and Emma Love Ball.

She had worked at Castle Rubber in East Butler for 30 years.

Mrs. Headland was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, North Oakland. She also belonged to the Christian Mothers of the church, the Catholic Daughters of America, the 60-Plus Bowling League and the Tanglewood Senior Center.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Jane) Angert of Chicora; a son, John F. "Jack" Headland of Chicora; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Carl Headland, whom she married in 1934, died April 15, 1967. She also was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

<B>Headland</B> — Friends of Eleanor M. Headland, who died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 864 Chicora Road, Chicora, with the Rev. David DeWitt officiating. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery.Memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 864 Chicora Road, Chicora, PA 16025.
