Kummer 50th anniversary
C. Frederick and Joyce Kummer of Jefferson City, Mo., celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a Mass and a blessing at St. Joseph Cathedral, followed by a surprise dinner and dance reception at Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City, hosted by their children.
The former Joyce Milsom married Kummer Dec. 29, 1956, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
They have six children, Carol Kelsall of Cambridge, England; Fred Kummer III of Huntsville, Ala.; and Dianna Steiger, Jennifer Boyce, Thomas Kummer and Stephen Kummer, all of Jefferson City.
They also have 13 grandchildren, with a 14th expected; two great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and three step-greatgrandchildren.Kummer is retired from Westinghouse Company, now known as ABB. He volunteers at Villa Maria Nursing Home as an ombudsman and enjoys golf.Mrs. Kummer enjoys playing bridge.The couple belongs to St. Joseph Cathedral in Jefferson City.
