5:08 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Joel Clark, 42, of Windber, Pa., and a car driven by Michelle Miller, 35, of Prospect collided at the intersection of Routes 422 and 488 in Franklin Township. No injuries were reported. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The Prospect Volunteer Fire Department and Butler Ambulance assisted at the scene.4:19 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Kristin Adam of Butler traveled off Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township, stopping in a yard. Adam was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.2:08 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Jamie Schwab, 20, of Butler landed in a ditch off Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. The driver was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.Wednesday — Someone entered S. Dianne Broad's garage at 941 Mercer Road between 12:30 and 3:20 p.m. Nothing was reported stolen. Anyone with information should call police at 724-284-8100.12:33 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by Jason McWilliams, 27, of Slippery Rock hit an embankment off snow-covered Keister House Road before overturning onto its side. The driver was not wearing a seat belt and received minor injuries. He was charged with not driving at a safe speed. The Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance assisted at the scene.9 a.m. Wednesday — A vehicle driven by Ian Harper of New Castle and a vehicle driven by Loretta Hogg of Slippery Rock collided on Route 108 in Scott Township, Lawrence County. Both drivers, who were wearing seat belts, were taken to Grove City Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.5:20 a.m. Wednesday — Acar driven by Jeff Campbell, 24, of Petrolia struck a utility pole along snow-covered Route 308 in Clay Township. Campbell and his passenger Matt Ehrat, 32, of Bruin were treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital and released. Police said Campbell was wearing a seat belt; Ehrat was not.11:25 p.m. Tuesday — Acar driven by Almira Smith, 25, of Erie struck a guardrail after skidding on ice-covered Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.January — Someone used personal information about Stephen Skoch of Slippery Rock to open a credit card account in his name.Dec. 3 — Zachary Kennedy, 20, of Saxonburg and Tiffany Crawford, 21, of Pittsburgh were charged with 41 counts each of access device fraud and other related charges after allegedly using a stolen credit card throughout Butler, Mercer and Allegheny counties between Dec. 1 and 3. Kennedy was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond while Crawford was released on a released-on-own recognizance bond.
9:28 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Dorothy Evans, 81, of Grove City hit snow and slush on Cranberry Road in Pine Township and lost control, striking a speed-limit sign and a tree. Both the driver and her passenger, James Evans, 87, also of Grove City, were wearing seat belts and received minor injuries.Monday — Someone removed change from vehicles owned by Paula Gruber, 40, of Grove City outside her residence at 8 Irishtown Road between 9 p.m. Sunday and 7:20 a.m. Monday.Dec. 26 — Someone used a check cashing scheme to take money out of the checking account of Robert Shaffer of Pine Township between Dec. 20 and 26.
10 p.m. Monday — A car driven by April Redinger, 22, of Templeton struck an embankment and tree stump along Ridge Road in Boggs Township, Armstrong County. The car traveled another 20 feet and hit a tree with its rear passenger side, and then went another 10 feet and hit a second tree with its front.Police said Redinger fled the crash site. She was later found and charged with failing to immediately notify police of a crash, driving too fast for conditions, driving with a suspended license, a lane violation, and not wearing a seat belt.8:50 p.m. Monday — An Armstrong County Jail inmate was arrested for punching another prisoner inside a cell at the prison in Rayburn Township.Matthew Maley, 23, of Karns City is charged with simple assault. Police said Maley allegedly punched and choked Kenneth Digiacomo, 42, of Butler, and threatened to kill him.
6:36 a.m. Tuesday — An SUV driven by Paul Barger, 40, of Rimersburg and a Mack truck driven by Chris Cary, 45, no address listed, collided on ice-covered Canoe Ripple Road in Licking Township. No injuries were reported. Both drivers and Barger's passenger, Robert Merryman, 34, of Knox were wearing seat belts.
12:25 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Nicholas Daltorio, 52, of New Castle lost control on a patch of ice on Route 108 in Scott Township and hit a fence before overturning into a pasture field. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Jameson Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
2:37 a.m. Jan. 2 — William Steck, 18, of Cabot was charged with driving under the influence and possession of a small amount of marijuana following a traffic stop on South Rebecca Street.1:55 a.m. Jan. 1 — Amanda Doleny, 20, of Brackenridge, was charged with driving under the influence, underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Main Street. Police report finding a marijuana pipe in the vehicle.Midnight Jan. 1 — Daniel Cypher, 37, of Cabot was charged with fleeing/eluding police following a police chase that started at the intersection of Rebecca and Main streets and ended on Winfield Road. Police report Cypher abandoned the vehicle in a yard, which turned out to be his residence.2 a.m. Dec. 10 — Adam Graham, 20, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence, underage drinking, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving following a traffic stop on Main Street. Police report finding Graham with a plastic bag containing marijuana.1 a.m. Dec. 9 — Wade Speakman, 20, of Saxonburg was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Aderhold Road. Police report finding 28 grams of marijuana in his vehicle.
