Furis, Szakelyhidi

Kimberly and Stephen Szakelyhidi

Kimberly Furis of Pittsburgh and Stephen Szakelyhidi of Harmony were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Sept. 16 at St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church in Cranberry Township. The Rev. Stephen Kresak officiated. A reception followed at the Holiday Inn in North Hills.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Nancy Furis of Bellevue. Parents of the bridegroom are David and Joan Szakelyhidi of Harmony.

The honor attendant was Maggie Connelly of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids included Melissa Kline, Holly Pokylo, Jessica Scott and Jaclyn Boehm, all of Pittsburgh, and Holly Szakelyhidi of Harmony. Flower girls were Abigail Kline, Audrey Kline, Elizabeth Pokylo and Isabella Bell, all of Pittsburgh.

Performing the duties of best men were David Szakelyhidi of Pittsburgh and Nick Szakelyhidi of Fairfax, Va. Ushers included Jeff Furis of Pittsburgh; Eric Ierardo and Sean Patterson, both of Harmony; Blake Kelly and Ryan Caldwell, both of Evans City; and Mike Vidt of Troy Hill.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Northgate High School and a 2005 graduate of Point Park University. She works for Sittig, Cortese and Wratcher in Pittsburgh.

The bridegroom graduated in 1999 from Seneca Valley High School and in 2005 from the University of Pittsburgh. He works for Clear Count Medical Solutions in Pittsburgh.

Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Pittsburgh.
