King, Walchesky
Kristen King and Jake Walchesky, both of Butler, were united in marriage May 6 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Butler. The Rev. Bruce Geary officiated. A reception followed at The Atrium in Prospect.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Debbie King of Butler. The bridegroom's parents are Bill and Lucy Walchesky of Mechenicsburg.
Mandee Miller of Butler was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sara McKormick, Mandy Maharg, Rhonda Wolfe and Catherine Beranty, all of Butler, and Christina Schneider of Woodbridge, Va.
Serving as best man was Pete Zablotsky of Butler. Ushers were Steven Denny, Chad Peate and Shawn Beranty, all of Butler, Ryan Shoop of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jeff Schneider of Woodbridge.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Butler High School and a 2001 graduate of the nursing program at Butler County Community College. She works at Butler Memorial Hospital.
The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Butler High School and a 2004 graduate of the Indiana (Pa.) University Academy of Culinary Arts. He is the executive chef at the North Country Brewery in Slippery Rock.
Following a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Butler.
