Ordy 90th birthday
Ann Ordy of Butler celebrated her 90th birthday Dec. 10 with a family dinner at the Brick House on Main Street. Sixty-five people attended.
The former Ann Grinnik was born Dec. 13, 1916, in Butler. She married John "Jack" Ordy on Aug. 8, 1936. He is deceased.
Mrs. Ordy has nine children, Patricia Potyka, Jack Ordy, Richard Ordy, Robert Ordy, Marvin Ordy, Ronald Ordy and Jean Laskey, all of Butler; Barbara Brown of Houston, Texas; and Julie Moreland of Murrysville.
She also has 26 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
She is retired from Butler School District, where she worked in the high school cafeteria.
She belongs to St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Lyndora, participating in the Sisterhood of the Altar and the choir.
