Hannah Dunkle, 86, of 536 Bredin St. died at 3 a.m. today at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 16, 1920, in the County of Dur-ham, England, she was the daughter of James and Selina Reay Reed.

She was a homemaker. She retired from the Butler Junior High School cafeteria after 20 years in 1980.

She was a Protestant.

She was a member of AARP and of Tanglewood 60+. She enjoyed traveling, visiting with family and friends, and watching the Lawrence Welk show on television. She like bingo. She watched many TVgame shows and was great at crossword puzzles. Her smiles are famous and her kindness touched many.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Paul Dunkle and his wife, Elaine, of State College and Richard John Dunkle of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Lillian Haley of Butler; a number of nieces and nephews; a brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Irene Dunkle of Butler; Ruth Reed of Lyndora; William Dunkle of Maryland, and Nancy Dunkle of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Dunkle, who died May 23, 1966. Also preceding were two brothers, a sister, and a son, David J. Dunkle.

<B>DUNKLE</B>— Friends of Hannah Dunkle, who died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St.Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with lay pastor Virginia DiTullio of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.Burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Butler Visiting Nurses Association and the American Diabetes Association.
