Fern V. Hawk
Fern Virginia Hawk, 91, of Zelienople died Thursday at the Passavant Retirement & Health Center, Zelie-nople.
Born Jan. 21, 1915, in Somerset County, she was the daughter of Joseph and Celesta Fike Livengood.
Mrs. Hawk was a member of the English Lutheran Church of Zelienople, where she served as the treasurer for more than 20 years.
She was a registered nurse, graduated from West Penn School of Nursing in 1936 and had worked at the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.
She enjoyed sewing, baking, and crossword puzzles.
Surviving are a son, the Rev. Robert C. Hawk and his wife, Arleen, of Greensburg; a daughter, Jennifer H. Davison of Zelienople: a brother, Paul Livengood of Bedford; two grandchildren, Lisa D. Solt and Gregory Bellinotti; and three great-granddaughters, Danielle, Stephanie and Christine Solt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clare Allen Hawk, who died in 1974; and two brothers, Carlton and Denver Livengood.
<B>HAWK</B> — Friends of Fern Virginia Hawk, who died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the English Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Keplinger officiating.
