11:08 a.m. Dec. 9 — A car driven by Dorothy Snow, 35, of Cabot skidded on an icy spot on Upper Shore Street and hit a utility pole. No injuries were reported and the pole was not damaged.3:10 a.m. Dec. 8 — A city truck driven by William Black, 54, of Butler that was spreading salt struck the driver's side mirror of a parked vehicle owned by Durham School Service of Saxonburg on West Diamond Street.
1:45 a.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Jonathan McFeaters, 18, of Prospect struck a deer on Route 528 in Brady Township, left the road and hit a tree. The driver was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.11:45 p.m. Friday — Bruce Lee Drotleff Jr., 28, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 422 in Summit Township.12:04 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Susan Dembeck, 48, of Petrolia and a tractor-trailer driven by Cory McKeown, 24, of Rauenna, Ohio, collided at the intersection of Route 68 and Medical Center Road in Donegal Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured.Friday — Someone stole two 1979 Suzuki PE175 motorcycles from Patricia Freeman's residence at 105 Davcol Lane in Slippery Rock overnight.Friday — Someone damaged a light fixture and vehicle tire at The Plantation at 1034 Carriage Lane in Clinton Township between 5 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday. Total damage is estimated at $200. Anyone with information about the incident should call state police at 724-284-8100.Friday — Someone stole a Ruger model 77 bolt-action, .270-caliber rifle with scope and various tools, including a Sears circular saw, router and cordless drill, worth a total of $1,319, from Daniel Hufnagle's unoccupied residence at 124 Serenity Lane in Forward Township between 9 p.m. Thursday and 6 a.m. Friday. Anyone with information about the theft should call state police at 724-284-8100.Thursday — Someone stole $850 worth of tools from the residence of Charles Warsing at 1286 Prospect Road in Connoquenessing Township between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday. The tools stolen were a Craftsman table saw, batty tool kit, a circular saw kit, a Black & Decker jigsaw and belt sander. Anyone with information about the theft should call state police at 724-284-8100.9:30 p.m. Wednesday — Timothy Watt, 32, of Harmony was charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after allegedly threatening Brian Farley, 32, of Prospect at Miller's Lighthouse Inn on New Castle Road in Franklin Township by grabbing his throat, saying he was going to kill Farley and saying Farley should have a .38 bullet in his head.
Thursday — Someone broke into Betsy Wranich's house at 252 Church Road in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, and stole an unspecified model of gun and jewelry between 8:40 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
Friday — Police responded to the Clarion Hospital emergency room to investigate the death of Eleanor May Mazzoni, 87, of Rimersburg. No further information was available Saturday morning.3 a.m. Thursday — A 17-year-old Rimersburg female and an 18-year-old Shippenville female were charged with underage drinking following a traffic accident on Route 68 in Monroe Township.
