Scott and Stephanie Karwoski

Stephanie Dawson of Butler and Scott Karwoski of West Sunbury were united in marriage at 2 p.m. July 22 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz officiated. A reception followed at Shakespeare's Restaurant.

The bride is the daughter of Perry and Debora Dawson of Butler. The father of the bridegroom is Larry Karwoski of Allison Park.

The honor attendant was Karen Nord of New Castle. Bridesmaids included Nicole Lesnick of Jeanette; Christine Kramer of Shaker Heights, Ohio; and Gretchen Burwinkel of Pittsburgh. The flower girl was Katie Henthorn of Ripley, W.Va.

Performing the duties of best man was T.J. Burke of Baltimore. Ushers included James Hubbard of Weston, Fla.; Jeremy Dawson of Tampa, Fla.; and Jason Karwoski of Allison Park. The ring bearer was Austin Karwoski of Allison Park.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Knoch High School; a 2002 graduate of Westminster College, earning a bachelor of arts degree; and a 2004 graduate of Slippery Rock University, earning a master of education degree. She works as a high school guidance counselor in the Slippery Rock School District.

The bridegroom graduated in 1993 from Hampton High School and in 1999 from Clarion University, earning a bachelor of science degree. He works as an eighth-grade history teacher in the South Butler School District.

Following a honeymoon cruise to San Juan, Puerto Rico, the couple is making their home in West Sunbury.
