Alfred 'Deke'Vidt

Vidt

Alfred H. "Deke" Vidt, 65, of Portersville died Friday at his home.

Born Nov. 16, 1940, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Henry and Jennie L. Moyes Vidt.

Mr. Vidt retired from UPMC Passavant Hospital where he had been director of maintenance.

He is survived by his wife, Marlin J. McNorton Vidt; a son, Robbie D. Vidt and his wife, Lisa, of Ross Township; a daughter, Kimberly J. Knebel and her husband, Greg, of Cranberry Township; two sisters, Dorothy Bash Vidt of West View and Jeannie Vidt Shoemaker of Ross Township; and four grandchildren, Athena Vidt, Shaelin Knebel, Olivia Knebel and Eli Knebel.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

"Deke"Vidt, who died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, are invited to a graveside committal service at 11 a.m. Monday at Plains Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Cranberry Township, with the Rev. Cheryl Waguespack of Princeton Memorial Presbyterian Church, officiating.Arrangements are being handled by <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E.
