9:47 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Rachael Frye, 22, of Sarver skidded on an ice patch on Main Street and struck another car driven by Terrence Cassioli, 48, of Summit Township. Cassioli, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries9:13 p.m. Friday — Adog on the road was blamed for a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on North Main Street.Robert Neidrick, 57, of Butler said he slowed down to avoid hitting the dog and his car was rear-ended by another car driven by Monica Claypool, 50, of Butler Township.Claypool said she also saw the dog and slowed prior to the crash. Her car was hit in the rear by a car driven by Sharen Lewis, 62, of Center Township.Claypool, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with unknown injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. Lewis was cited for driving too fast for conditions.11:54 p.m. Nov. 27 — Two men were injured in a freak accident on West Wayne Street while working on a sport utility vehicle.Police said William Loughner, 34, of Butler was under his Chevrolet S-10 Blazer working on its exhaust system when Richard Townsend, 30, of Center Township, seated in the passenger seat, started up the vehicle.The vehicle accidentally kicked into reverse and hit Loughner. Townsend became scared, jumped out of the passenger seat and was run over by the driverless Blazer, police said.Both men suffered minor injuries and later were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital.

2:30 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Jocelyn Fishel, no age given, of Butler crashed on Route 58 in Venango Township. Fishel, who was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries, was cited for a lane violation.Sunday — Police reported that a warrant has been issued for a Lawrence County man accused of using a corporate credit card to steal nearly $1,600 in goods and services from Deily Moving and Storage on Hindman Road in Connoquenessing Township.Robert Barge, 25, of Ellwood City is wanted for theft and access device fraud. Anyone with information about Barge's whereabouts is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.10:20 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Adam Markel, no age given, of Slippery Rock and a pickup truck driven by Curtis Peffer, no age given, of Portersville collided on Route 173 near Route 108 in Slippery Rock. Markel was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.10:20 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Lindsay Gagliordi, 27, of New Castle struck a sport utility vehicle and another car parked at the park-and-ride facility on Route 422 near Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Gagliordi, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.12:30 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Craig Hayden, 30, of Butler struck a utility pole along Route 308 near Moniteau High School in Cherry Township. Police said Hayden fled the scene after the crash.11:35 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Jennifer McCabe, 21, of Butler struck a deer on Mercer Road in Center Township. McCabe was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.8:04 p.m. Friday — A car driven by James Brosnan, 44, of Pittsburgh struck an embankment off Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township and rolled onto its side. Brosnan, who was not wearing a seat belt, received unspecified injuries. He was cited for not driving at a safe speed.4:45 p.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by James Rees, 41, of Karns City slid on a patch of ice on Pine Road in Fairview Township and hit a telephone pole. Rees was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. He was charged with driving under the influence. The Petrolia and Fairview Township volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene.9:25 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Sherri Blackburn of Worthington struck a guardrail on Route 38 in Center Township before traveling across the lanes into an embankment. She was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. She was cited for careless driving.7:35 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Kristen Tate of Butler lost traction on snow-covered Route 356 in Summit Township and hit a mailbox and a tree. Passenger Karey Day of Butler was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of moderate injuries. Day was not listed as being a patient in the hospital Saturday morning. Tate was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Both people were wearing seat belts. Butler Ambulance Service and Herman Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.8:50 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Melanie Heckert of Butler hit a utility pole, mailbox and wooden fence off Carbon Center Road in Clearfield Township. She was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions.6:58 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Daniel Robb of Rogers, Ohio, and an SUV driven by Kelly Johns of Fenelton collided on Route 422 in Summit Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured. Robb was cited for not driving a vehicle at a safe speed.6:40 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Richard Graham, 29, of Karns City wrecked on Hooker Road in Concord Township while trying to avoid a vehicle stuck in the snow. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.4:25 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Margo Teets of Rochester, Pa., hit a utility pole on Route 528 in Connoquenessing Township. She was not wearing a seat belt and received moderate injuries. She was cited for driving too fast for conditions. Harmony Ambulance and the Prospect, Franklin Township and Connoquenessing Township volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene.4:10 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Stush Antoszyk of Butler and a vehicle driven by Mallory Fester of Sarver collided on Route 356 in Jefferson Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured. Police report bad weather caused the accident.Nov. 17 — Christina Lee Shanor, 38, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence on West Liberty Road in Worth Township.State Police, Kittanning1:42 a.m. Nov. 18 — Joseph Tantlinger, 23, of Kittanning was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong Country.

1:40 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Tammi Lapp, 31, of Grove City and Daniel Hutchins, 20, of Mercer collided on Route 208 in Springfield Township. Mercer County. Two passengers in Hutchins' car suffered minor injuries.Dec. 3 — A 1968 Volkswagen Beetle was stolen from a barn at the Perrine Road home of Charles Sweitzer in Wolf Creek Township. The theft occurred between Nov. 27 and Dec. 3. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the barracks at 724-662-6162.
