Rita M. Presto
Rita M. Gianneschi Presto, 83, of 7 Oakhurst Drive, formerly of Ellwood City, died at 10:40 a.m. Sunday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler, Sept. 27, 1923, she was a daughter of Peter and Elvera Marchetti Gianneschi.
A 1941 graduate of Butler High School, she was a homemaker and had been a volunteer at the Blessed Virgin Mary School cafeteria in Ellwood City for many years.
Mrs. Presto was a member of the Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish in Ellwood City and was a gold member of the Holy Redeemer Parish Christian Mothers. She was a former member of the Opti-Mrs. Club.
She enjoyed baking and playing cards.
Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Judy and John Zelesnak of North Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Anita K. Geibel of Butler and Alice Presto of Perris, Calif.; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Dorothy Gianneschi and Frank and Jean Gianneschi, all of Butler.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Ann and Jason Geisinger, John and Julie Zelesnak and Spencer Geibel; and three great-grandchildren.
Her husband, John J. Presto, whom she married Sept. 1, 1943, died March 25, 1975. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Anita Spinetti and Bruna DeRita.
<B>PRESTO </B>— Friends of Rita M. Gianneschi Presto, who died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>SAMUEL TEOLIS FUNERAL HOME</B>, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Wednesday at the Purification Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Ellwood City, with the Rev. John Oesterle officiating.Those attending the funeral Mass are to meet at the funeral home by 11:20 a.m. Wednesday. The procession to church will leave at 11:30 a.m.Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Ellwood City.Members of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are to meet at the church at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday to form an honor guard.Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Redeemer Parish Angel Fund.
