Monday — Police filed a bad check charge against James Sgro, 57, of Center Township for allegedly passing a $386.13 check, written on a closed account, to the NAPAAuto Parts store on West Jefferson Street.

9:13 p.m. Thursday — Jeffrey Richard, 37, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Pittsburgh Road.State Police, Butler5:30 a.m. Monday — Vehicles driven by Israel Christie, 31, and Dennis Keppel, 52, both of Butler, collided at Route 8 and Benbrook Road in Center Township.Keppel was taken with moderate injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. Christie suffered minor injuries. Police said both drivers were wearing seat belts.Monday — An undisclosed amount of money and jewelry were taken between 7:15 a.m. and 4 p.m. in a burglary at a Spring Run Road home in CenterTownship. Joyce and Bonnie Fontaine own the stolen property.2:30 a.m. Sunday — Several mailboxes were damaged along Halston Road in Brady Township. The unknown vandal is described as a white young man or teenager. He was wearing a plaid coat and possibly in a white or tan, newer model van.Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.5:15 p.m. Saturday — Acar driven by Robert Patterson, 51, of Grove City struck a deer on Route 8 near Hall Road in Brady Township. The deer was flipped into the air and struck a car driven by Mario Nero, 45, of Lowellville, Ohio.State Police, Mercer4:30 a.m. Saturday — Benjamin Leahy, 30, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 258 near West Valcourt Road in Liberty Township.3 p.m. Nov. 28 — Casey Reiland, 21, of Harrisville suffered minor injuries when he crashed his motorcycle on Garrett Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Reiland, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated at the Grove City Medical Center and released.

7:30 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Robert Sivulich, 19, of Hermitage struck a bear on Route 422 in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County. The driver was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

11:51 a.m. Sunday — A tractor-trailer driven by Garrett Dennison, 34, of Newark, Ohio, struck a car owned by Sally Runyan of Rimersburg while her car was parked in Doc's Tavern parking lot in Toby Township. The rear of the trailer snagged the rear of the car, which slid about six feet across the lot. No injuries were reported.
