12:41 p.m. Saturday — A vehicle driven by Susan Ambrose, 48, of Cranberry Township and a vehicle driven by Laura Trusel, 21, of Butler collided at the intersection of East Brady and Monroe streets. No injuries were reported.10:30 a.m. Friday — Butler Township police arrested David A. Ansani Jr., 45, of Butler on Highland Avenue for a city police warrant of simple assault and making terroristic threats. Ansani allegedly held a knife to the throat of his girlfriend, Jennifer Brown, threatening to kill her at 8:45 a.m. Thursday in their residence at 441 E. Pearl St., Apt. 7. Although Brown fled the residence following the incident and called 911, city police could not immediately locate Ansani.3:40 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by Daniel McPherson, 17, of Butler was traveling on Roosevelt Boulevard when it slid on the slick brick road and struck a drainage culvert. No injuries reported.

10:55 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Sandra Morris, 47, of Saxonburg and a vehicle driven by Frank Semetkoskey, 42, of Pittsburgh collided on Route 228 in Clinton Township. Morris was cited for failing to yield the right of way. Saxonburg police, Middlesex police, Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company and Saxonburg ambulance assisted at the scene.4:18 a.m. Sunday — Daniel P. Noullet, 21, of Butler was arrested for drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia after police found suspected marijuana residue and a marijuana pipe in his vehicle following a traffic stop at the intersection of Pillow Street and Hansen Avenue in Butler City.2:30 a.m. Sunday — Ryan S. Deller, 19, of Cheswick was arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana following a traffic stop on Freeport Street in Clinton Township.1:20 a.m. Sunday — Laura Brewer, 45, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and multiple summary traffic violations on Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township.12:28 a.m. Sunday — Tyler J. Shimmel, 18, of Phillipsburg, Centre County, was arrested for possession of prohibited weapons after police found brass knuckles in his vehicle following a traffic stop on Route 8 in Brady Township.4 a.m. Saturday — Timothy K. Saeler, 40, of Butler was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, public drunkenness, harassment and driving under the influence after allegedly forcing his way into the Chicora residence of Paula Tennant, 36, at 202 Legion Alley and grabbing her. Saeler was arraigned before District Judge Wayne Seibel and jailed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 cash bond. He later was released after posting bond.2:08 a.m. Saturday — Evan D. Young, 22, of Butler was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence on New Castle Road in Butler Township.2 a.m. Saturday — Someone smashed the mailboxes at 1550 and 1559 Branchton Road in Washington Township. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.12:50 a.m. Saturday — Matthew W. Deinert, 38, of Ellwood City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and multiple summary violations following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.Saturday — Someone knocked over the mailbox of Steven Gerwick, 43, at his 108 Queens Court Lane residence in Clay Township between 12:40 a.m. and 4 p.m.11:45 p.m. Friday — James T. Hogan Jr., 30, of Erie was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after police searched a vehicle Hogan was riding in at the Interstate 79 northbound rest stop in Lawrence County.12:20 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Andrew Rider, 18, of Evans City hit a tree off Spithaler School Road in Forward Township. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.Thursday — Toni Lynne Hovis, 45, of Butler was charged with unsworn falsification to authorities after she testified in court that she provided a false written statement on Aug. 24 during a harassment investigation.Thursday — Someone stole unspecified materials and tools from a Bastion Homes site off Valvoline Road in East Butler. Anyone with information should call state police at 724-284-8100.8:20 p.m. Wednesday — Heather R. Finucan, 26, of Butler was arrested for retail theft after allegedly stealing $300 worth of jewelry from Boscov's Department Store in the Clearview Mall in Center Township.4:55 p.m. Nov. 24 — A dark SUV driven by an unknown person left the road and hit a tree before returning to the road and striking the rear of a vehicle driven by Mia Petruzzi, 40, of Saxonburg while it was stopped for traffic on West Main Street in Saxonburg. Petruzzi was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.Nov. 21 — Someone stole a lockbox with $2,350 from the Oakland Township residence of George and Helen Kilgore on Vista Valley Lane between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.Sept. 30 — Someone stole an 8-foot Tapco slap brake and a 10-inch Montgomery Ward table saw from a truck owned by Nicholas Dickey, 67, of Butler while it was parked in a lot at 1163 Boyers Road in Marion Township between June 30 and Sept. 30.State Police, Mercer8:08 p.m. Friday — An unidentified white female stole a piece of jewelry from Zales Jewelry Store at Prime Outlets in Springfield Township.6:10 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Justin Christy, 16, of Grove City and a car driven by Benjamin Davis, 30, of Grove City collided on Route 58 in Pine Township. Christy complained of pain. Davis was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

6:20 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by Jack Roth, 65, of Cadogan, Armstrong County, struck a deer on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. No injuries were reported.10:06 a.m. — An SUV driven by Paul Lytle, 30, of Pittsburgh hit a tree off Route 156 in Kiski Township. One of his passengers, Franklin Lytle, 48, of Saxonburg, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown to UPMC Presbyterian for treatment of moderate injuries and was later released. A second passenger, Brandy Jones, was taken to Indiana Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Paul Lytle was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Vandegrift EMS and volunteer fire department, Kiski Valley Volunteer Fire Company and North Apollo Volunteer Fire Company assisted at the scene.
