Gaiser, Zack

Gwen and Eric Zack

Washington, D.C., residents Gwen Gaiser and Eric Zack were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Oct. 15 in the garden of the Newton White Mansion in Mitchellville, Md. The Rev. Arthur Blecher officiated. A reception followed at the mansion.

The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Elaine Gaiser of Petrolia. Mother of the bridegroom is Maureen Zack of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

The maid of honor was Elizabeth Mesa of Alexandria, Va. Bridesmaids included Amy Gaiser of Douglassville; Andrea Caplan of West Bloomfield, Mich; Teresa Mitchell of Carmel, Ind; and Gabriela Montell of Arlington, Va. The flower girl was Logan Gaiser of Douglassville.

Performing the duties of best man was the groom's brother, Marc Zack of Commerce Township, Mich. Groomsmen included Jeffrey Zack of Alexandria; Chad Gaiser of Douglassville, James Hall of San Francisco and Richard Roberts of Leland, Mich. Ushers were Michael Zack, of Waterford, Mich.; Douglas Zack of West Bloomfield; Thomas Zack of Atlanta; Robert Feldner of Falls Church, Va.; and Kevin Farris of Chicago. The ring bearer was Ian Zack of Alexandria.

The bride is a graduate of Karns City High School and Penn State University.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Lahser High School and the University of Michigan.

Both are employed at The Chronicle of Higher Education in Washington.

Following a honeymoon in the Canary Islands, the couple will make their home in Washington.
