9 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Robert Lafon, 43, of Cabot and a van driven by Dawn Boyle, 36, of Butler collided at Wayne and McKean streets.2:20 a.m. Sunday — Amy Lopez-Rinker, 24, of Portersville was arrested following a disturbance at a Pillow Street bar.Police said Lopez-Rinker was screaming and in the middle of a commotion when officers got to My Buddies Place. She continued to yell despite officers' orders to stop. When police tried to remove her she began flailing her arms back, hitting an officer, a police report said.Lopez-Rinker is charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness.
5:25 p.m. Friday — Jack Hartzell, no age given, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence after his vehicle crashed over an embankment along New Castle Road. Police said Hartzell was placed in the Butler County Prison for a warrant on receiving stolen property in a prior case.Butler County DUI Task ForceSunday — Three people were arrested for driving under the influence during a pair of roving patrols by the county's DUI task force over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.Authorities said 72 vehicles were stopped and 23 traffic citations and seven non-traffic citations were issued. Additionally, two people were cited for disorderly conduct and two others were cited for public drunkenness.Police also issued 49 warnings to motorists for not wearing seat belts and other traffic violations.
9 p.m. Monday — Kelly Jo Tilger, 40, and Earl Eugene Kelly Jr., 55, both of Clearfield Township, were charged with simple assault and harassment following an altercation on Dalmago Road in Clearfield Township.6 a.m. Monday — Two tree stands were reported stolen from Camp Lutherlyn in Connoquenessing Township.5:25 a.m. Monday — An unknown burglar took $185 in small bills after a breaking into the Subway restaurant on North Main Street in Harrisville. The currency was in a lockbox under the counter.1:40 a.m. Monday — Apickup truck driven by Joshua Thomson, 24, of Portersville struck an embankment and rolled over, landing on its wheels, on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Thomson, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. He was cited for several undisclosed traffic violations.Monday — A wallet, checkbook and credit card were taken from a car at the Clearview Mall parking lot in Center Township. The theft occurred between 3:20 and 10:20 p.m. Ashley Halm of Butler owns the stolen property.Sunday — A 20-inch LCD Sylvania television and an Xbox 360 console with controllers were taken in a burglary at the West Cooper Street home of Brian McKlindon in Slippery Rock. The property, taken between Thursday and Sunday, is valued at $820.Sunday — A Compaq laptop computer, necklace and MP3 player were taken in a burglary at the Keister Road home of Kathryn Jones in Slippery Rock. The property, valued at $1,120, was taken between Wednesday and Sunday.Nov. 18 — Aset of deer antlers were taken from a garage in a burglary at the Sasse Road home of Robert Ekas in Winfield Township.
2:26 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Kevin McCoy, 55, of Clymer, Indiana County, struck a tree along Route 28 in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. McCoy, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
8:40 a.m. Sunday — A mini-van driven by Gerald Didesiderio, 76, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, and a sport utility vehicle driven by James Gaiter, 62, of Jackson Center collided at Route 173 and Yankee School Road in Sandy Lake Township, Mercer County. Didesiderio faces a citation for running a stop sign.5:30 a.m. Sunday — ATrikke three-wheel scooter, stolen from an unlocked mini-van on Patton Road in Sandy Lake Township, was later found in a neighbor's yard. Jill Smith of Sandy Lake owns the property, valued at $300.
