Thanksgiving services will be held at the following churches. Unless otherwise noted, all services will be held today.

• Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Center Township, will hold a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m.

• First Church of Christ Scientist, 120 W. Penn St., will host its 85th annual Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m. Thursday.

• First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will host a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7:30 p.m.

• Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St. Ext., Center Township, will host a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m. Trinity Lutheran Church will participate in the service.

• First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, Route 8 at Heckert Road, Richland Township, will host a Thanksgiving Day service at 10 a.m. Thursday. An offering will be collected to benefit The Lighthouse, Hosanna Industries and the Pastor's Local Needy Fund.

• Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will host a traditional Thanksgiving Eve service at 7:30 p.m. Pie will be served after service. Child care will be provided.

• Harmony-Zelienople United Methodist Church, 123 N. Pittsburgh St., Zelienople, will provide a Service of Thanksgiving at 7:30 p.m. Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected for the Southwest Butler County Food Cupboard.

• Homeacre Chapel, 340 Whitestown Road, Butler Township, will host a Thanksgiving Day service from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday.

• Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old West 422, Franklin Township, will host a Thanksgiving Eve service with communion at 7 p.m.

• New Life Christian Ministries will participate in a Thanksgiving Eve service and believer baptism at 7 p.m. at CrossWay Church of the Assemblies of God, 109 David Road, Valencia.

• St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., will hold a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m.

• St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 218 E. Jefferson St., will hold a Thanksgiving service with Eucharist at 7:30 p.m.

• St. Richard Roman Catholic Church, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, will celebrate a Thanksgiving Day Mass at 9 a.m. Thursday.

• Trinity Lutheran Church will participate in a Thanksgiving Eve service at 7 p.m. at Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St. Ext., Center Township.
