Pioneers set school marks in tourney win

It was a record-breaking night for the Butler County Community College women's basketball team.

The Pioneers (5-0) won their tournament with an 81-40 victory over CCAC-Boyce Tuesday night.

The 81 points were the most scored in one game in the program's history.

The Pioneers also hit a school-record 16 3-pointers.

Butler HighSchool graduate Ashley Nocera scored 18 points on six 3-pointers to lead the charge for BC3.

Brittany Beatty scored 15 and was named tournament MVP.

ShannonOnderko added 13 points and 11 assists for the Pioneers and also made the all-tournament team, while Liz Burgard (Knoch) added 13 points.
