Connolly, Gilliland
Gael Connolly and Shane Gilliland, both of Tempe, Ariz., were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at Phoenix Memorial Park in Phoenix. Superior Court Judge Craig Blakey officiated. A family dinner followed at the Tom's Tavern. The bride's grandparents, Richard and Norine Rink, hosted a reception at their Paradise Valley, Ariz., home Oct. 21.
The bride is the daughter of Ann Connolly of Glendale, Ariz., and the late Patrick Connolly. Parents of the bridegroom are Timothy and Colleen Gilliland of Butler.
Performing the duties of best man was the bride's brother, Brendan Connolly of Glendale.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Xavier College Preparatory School. She is currently a student at Arizona State University.
The bridegroom graduated in 2005 from Butler High School. He works for Ace Hardware in Tempe and is a student at Mesa Community College.
Following a honeymoon stay at Buttes Resort in Phoenix, the couple is making their home in Tempe. A summer honeymoon trip to Cimmaron, N.M., is planned.
