3:03 p.m. Monday — Avan driven by Michael Croyle, 20 of Karns City struck the rear of a car at Center and Wallula avenues. Croyle was cited for careless driving. Rachel Crider, 27, of Butler was driving the car.
2:25 a.m. Saturday — Aaron Burd, 29, of Butler was arrested for allegedly showing up at a Deshon Court home and threatening a man with a handgun.Burd is accused of pointing the 9 mm pistol at the other man, who police did not identify, and ordering him out of the house. The victim was not injured and later called 911.Police charged Burd with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and harassment. The defendant, following arraignment, was placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $15,00 bond.
5:32 p.m. Saturday — Richard Weston, 26, of Finleyville, Washington County, was arrested for violating a court-issued protection from abuse order on Waikiki Road in Penn Township. The PFAwas previously issued to a 27-year-old Penn Township woman.
3:50 p.m. Nov. 13 — Jesse Lott, 24, of Grove City swerved his sport utility vehicle to avoid a car that pulled in front of him, and struck two mailboxes and a utility pole along Route 173 near George Junior Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.The pole was broken at its base, and the crash closed the road for about 2 hours.Tracy Haubrich, no age given, of Jeannette, Westmoreland County, the driver of the car, was cited for making an illegal left turn.State Police, New Castle5:26 p.m. Saturday — Maria Connelly, 27, of Pittsburgh was injured when a large buck ran into her sport utility vehicle on Route 422 near Copper Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Connelly suffered a cut lip caused when an air bag deployed after the deer hit the vehicle.
