Filipiak

John M. Filipiak, 42, of Sarver, formerly Bethel Park, died Monday at the Jefferson Hospital, Pleasant Hills.

He was born July 20, 1964, in Pittsburgh.

Mr. Filipiak was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and was a heavy equipment operator for more than 25 years.

Surviving are his wife, Nina Iversen-Filipiak; a son, Johnathan S. Filipiak of Sarver; his parents, John "Sonny" Filipiak of Bethel Park and Madeleine B. Wallace of Florida; his grandfather, Matthew "Babe" Filipiak of Bethel Park; and his siblings, Scott M. and Jason R. Filipiak, both of Peters Township, and Marion Scabilloni of Castle Shannon.

He was the nephew of Liz Kovacevic of Wexford, Christine Stull of Sharon and Matthew "Bucky" Filipiak of Bethel Park; uncle of Scott M. Filipiak II and Heather Filipiak, both of Castle Shannon; stepson of Susan J. Filipiak of Peters Township, and beloved friend of April M. Filipiak of Hickory.

<B>FILIPIAK </B>— Friends of John M. Filipiak, who died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. A blessing service will be held Friday morning at the funeral home at time to be announced.
