St. Vincent hits fundraising goal
LATROBE — St. Vincent College reached its fundraising campaign goal of $75 million with six weeks remaining in the drive, board chairman J. Christopher Donahue said Thursday.
The college got $63,000 more than its goal in a campaign Donahue called "the largest, most ambitious and challenging fundraising program" in the history of the Benedictine Catholic school.
The campaign's goals included a $14 million Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning and Children's Media — named for the late children's TV star — and the St. Vincent College Conference Center. Construction is under way on both projects.
