The Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., will host a free Shichi-Go-San Japanese-themed children's day at 10 a.m. Saturday.

In Japan, Shichi-Go-San celebrates the growth and health of 3- and 7-year-old girls and 3- and 5-year-old boys.

The event Saturday is open to children ages 3 to 7 and will offer Japanese candies and the opportunity for children to try on kimonos.

SARVER — Zion United Methodist Church, 438 Bear Creek Road, will host a Gathering Place event at 7 p.m. Saturday.The event will include live music, fellowship, coffee, snacks and karaoke and is open to all ages.

BUTLER TWP — Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will host a Greater Gift Sale from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday.The event will feature the sale of fair-trade items made by artisans in developing countries.

PENN TWP — A Dyslexia Information Open House will be held from 8:45 a.m. to noon Saturday at Penn Christian Academy, 199 W.
