Maple pecan topping
1 egg
Z\v cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 tablespoon brandy or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix with a spoon until thoroughly blended.
Makes enough for a 9-inch pie.
