W. Edward Wike
W. Edward Wike, 63, of Polk, whose CB handle was "Rollin Stone," died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at his home after an unexpected illness. He had lived at his home since 1966.
Born in Greenville, June 11, 1943, he was the son of Elizabeth L. "Pensy" Wike and the late Wilmer S. Wike, who died May 1, 1992.
A 1961 graduate from the Victory Joint High School in Irwin Township, Venango County, he was an Army veteran and was discharged Dec. 31, 1968.
Mr. Wike was the owner/operator of W.E. Wike Trucking of Polk. He also owned and operated his own garage for inspections and repair.
He was a member of the Pleasantview United Methodist Church of Polk and was a member and trustee of the former Wesley Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Gerry Brinkley Wike, whom he married June 11, 1966; three daughters, Stacy J. Rea and Courtney L. Wilk, both of Polk, and Kelly R. Sires of Kennerdell.; his mother of Harrisville; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth L. "Betty" Matthews of Harrisville; two brothers, Fredrick B. Wike of Harrisville and Jeffrey A. Wike of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a nephew and a niece.

McKinley Funeral Home</B>, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Pleasantview Methodist Church, where services will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Ronald Hankey officiating.
