Patricia J. Parisi

Patricia J. Parisi, 80, of Chicora died unexpectedly of natural causes at 12:43 p.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born in Butler, Feb. 6. 1926, she was the daughter of Harry and Ella Iman Collier.

She was a 1945 graduate of Butler High School and had worked at the Montgomery Ward store in Butler for years. She then worked at the Chicora Medical Center until she retired in 1982.

Mrs. Parisi was a member of the Chicora United Methodist Church and the Chicora Women of the Moose.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Livingston and her husband, Robert, of Petrolia and Karen McClanahan and her husband, Kerry, of Chicora; two sons, Joseph Parisi of Karns City and Thomas Parisi and his wife, Linda, of Templeton; and seven grandchildren, Joseph L. and Angela M. Parisi, Dawn I. Pyle, Jason T., Jeremy T. and Lauren J. Parisi and Dustin T. McClanahan; and eight great-grandchildren.

A sister, Lillian Burns, of Chicora, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Her husband, Lewis A. Parisi, whom she married Aug. 12, 1948, died Dec. 19, 1978. She also was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Parisi, who died Nov. 7, 1970; two brothers, Les and John Collier, and a sister, Thelma "Tissie" Gibson.

<B>PARISI</B> — Friends of Patricia J. Parisi, who died Monday, Oct. 9, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Glea Foster, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
