MARS — The Mars Volunteer Fire Company will host the 3rd annual Christmas in Mars celebration at 5 p.m. Nov. 25 in the borough.

A Christmas parade featuring emergency service vehicles and community organizations, as well as Santa Clause himself, will light up the evening, according to a news release.

Organizers are still looking for groups to be in the parade. Anyone interested should e-mail Joe Krepin at joe.krepin@marsvfc.com or call the station at 724-625-1210.

Parade participants will line up at 4 p.m. on Beaver Street Extension, then at 5 p.m. they make their way through the borough.

After the parade, Santa will light the borough Christmas tree and will listen to children's Christmas wishes.

There will be music, hot dogs, coffee and sweets. Donations will be accepted for the Mars VFC.

After Nov. 25, Santa will make appearances at the Christmas tree across from the Mars National Bank from 6 to 8 p.m. every Saturday until Christmas.

Santa will not make the neighborhood visits he has in the past.
