Jennie and Brett Walker

Jennie Houser and Brett Walker, both of Winooski, Vt., were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Aug. 18 in an outdoor ceremony at The Atrium in Prospect. The Rev. John Seth officiated. A reception followed at the The Atrium.

The bride is the daughter of Bill and Denise Throckmorton of Zelienople and the late Kenneth Houser. Parents of the bridegroom are Tim and Rhonda Walker of Zelienople.

The maid of honor was Sue Hamilton of Zelienople. Bridesmaids included Renee Dumas of Attleboro, Mass.; Kim Spencer of East Greenwich, R.I.; Shari Ebb of Marlborough, Mass.; and Mickey Keohavong of Nashville, Tenn. Flower girls were Raina McKoen and Hannah McKoen, both of Beaver Falls, and Mikala Rhody of Jacksonville, N.C.

Serving his brother as best man was Ian Walker of Zelienople. Ushers included Jay Ballough of North Huntingdon; Austin Fatur of Connellsville, Petros Katsioloudis of Raleigh, N.C.; and Tom Jacobs of Wilmington, Del. The ring bearer was Mason Rhody of Jacksonville.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Seneca Valley High School and a 2004 graduate of Johnson and Wales University. She works for Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt., and as a snowboard instructor for Bolton Valley Resort in Vermont.

The bridegroom graduated in 1999 from Seneca Valley High School and in 2004 from California (Pa.) University. He works for Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, Vt. and as a snowboard instructor at Bolton Valley Resort.

The couple is making their home in Winooski.
