Give chilly days a warm boost

With the chill in the air, winter days are just the right time to heat up the kitchen with warm and inviting meals. By using dinnertime as the centerpiece for fond family moments, you'll have the makings for a tradition that can be repeated anytime of the week.

One out of two moms reports that she prepares a one-dish meal at least three times a week, according to a national survey conducted by Opinion Research Corp. and Kraft Foods that recently polled 1,143 women 18 years and older in the United States.

In general, 40 percent of women cook a one-dish meal three or more times a week, while more than half of women typically prepare a one-dish meal twice a week or less. Being able to put together a complete meal, with the meat and vegetables in one dish, can be an appealing option on busy weeknights at the family dinner table.
