Students at Young Brothers Tae Kwon-Do Institute locations in Butler and Cranberry will hold "break-a-thons" at 10 a.m. on Nov. 4 to benefit the fight against cancer.

The fundraiser will be held in memory of Patrick Walker of Sarver, a Young Brothers black belt instructor who died Sept. 19 at the age of 24 after a three-year battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Students will take pledges and will be given boards to break based on the amount they raise. Board breaking demonstrations also will be held.

Young Brothers schools in Ross, Richland, Bellevue, Fox Chapel, Robinson, Mercer, Latrobe and Indiana also will take part.

The Butler County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 107 will host a concert featuring Johnny Angel and the Halos at 8 p.m. Nov. 4 at Butler Intermediate High School.Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance and $15 at the door.
