Ashbee

Amanda Ashbee of Downingtown, daughter of Gale and Arlene Albaugh of Saxonburg, recently completed the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation walk in Philadelphia.Ashbee raised $5,298 to participate in the three-day, 60 mile walk.Ashbee completed the walk in memory of her cousin, Pamela Vogel, who died of breast cancer and Verla Crouch, Cindy Hoffman and Nancy Gillman, all Saxonburg-area women who died of cancer.———

Joell Bajoras, daughter of Jim and Fran Bajoras of the Mars area, will compete for the title of Miss Pennsylvania USA Nov. 17 through 19 at the Hyatt Regency, Pittsburgh International Airport.She is a student at Penn State University, where she serves as a Lion Scout and a member of the university's marketing association.———
