5:50 p.m. Tuesday — A fugitive accused of robbery and felony assault in Cambria County was arrested on Standard Avenue in Butler after he tried to run from officers.Darian Dixon, 25, of Johnstown is in the Butler County Prison on the out-of-county bench warrant and charges stemming from his arrest in the city.Vice officers doing an investigation into drug trafficking in the area of Standard Avenue confronted Dixon, who allegedly gave a false name. He later tried to run but was quickly caught.Police charged him with false reports to law enforcement authorities, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.11:23 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck driven by Charles Allen Jr., 47, of Pleasantville, Venango County, struck a guardrail and then a tree along Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Police said the crashed occurred after Allen suffered a seizure. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of the seizure condition.9:15 a.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Stephanie Wenzel, 33, of Slippery Rock struck a tree and crashed down a hill on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Wenzel, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for moderate injuries at UPMC Passavant Cranberry. Police cited her for driving too fast for conditions.Sunday — Jeremy Bowser, 29, of Sarver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 356 at Joe Jacks in Buffalo Township.Monday — A light blue, JCPenney Foremost Special mini bike, valued at $1,200, was taken from a shed in a burglary between Aug. 17 and Monday at the Pine Drive home of Gordon Hartman in Center Township.Saturday — An Xbox game system was taken in a theft between June 29 and Saturday at the Jack Road home of Robert and Susan Arent in Clinton Township.Friday — A 13-year-old girl, who police did not identify, is accused of assaulting a pair of workers at the county's juvenile detention center in Allegheny Township.Police said the girl bit Brock Elliott of Saxonburg and Patrick Hatzinikolas of Brookville, employees at the Mid Atlantic Youth Services facility. The girl is charged in juvenile court with aggravated assault.Oct. 11 — An unknown thief took several undisclosed items from the Hall Road home of James Scott in Center Township. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. Oct. 10 and 9 a.m. Oct. 11.

1 a.m. Sunday — An 18-year-old Kittanning man, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 in Buffalo Township, Butler County. The driver and a passenger, a 17-year-old Kittanning, also face charges for underage drinking.
