10:45 p.m. Sunday — Randall Matthews, 29, of Verona, Allegheny County, was arrested at a Hazel Avenue home on a warrant stemming from a break-in and assault last month at the same house.Police said Matthews on Sept. 5 allegedly forced his way into the home of Cheryl Galey and punched and beat Ronald Klein, 47, of Warrendale. Klein was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for head and facial injuries in the assault.Matthews was arraigned on charges of burglary and simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bond.1:53 a.m. Sunday — Jody Berthold reported that between Saturday night and early Sunday morning a red, Pontiac Sunfire, bearing Pennsylvania license plate END6917, was stolen from her North Washington Street home.8:08 p.m. Saturday — Carla Wolfe, 32, of Butler is accused of assaulting Al Bayne, 36, of Butler during a disturbance at a Center Avenue home. Wolfe is charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.1:11 a.m. Saturday — Aloud party at a West New Castle Street apartment led to drinking charges filed against three people. Daniel Jordan, 22, who rents the apartment, is charged with furnishing alcohol to minors and possession of drug paraphernalia.Charged with underage drinking are Alicia Dodgson, 19, of West Sunbury and Keilynn Shaffer, 19, of Summit Township.

8 p.m. Friday — An unidentified light-colored, pickup truck struck a vehicle driven by Raymond Kasperski, 73, of Cabot, and did not stop following the crash on Dinnerbell Road in Jefferson Township. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run crash is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.1:50 p.m. Friday — Asport utility vehicle crashed and rolled onto its side at Route 173 and Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township.Friday — An unknown burglar between 11:30 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday broke into the Subway shop on North Main Street in Harrisville and stole an undisclosed amount of money from a lock box.Oct. 1 — A laptop computer, videocassettes and a bottle of prescription medication were taken Sept. 30 or Oct. 1 in a burglary at the Cranmer Lane home of Clifford Cranmer in Concord Township.

9:16 p.m. Saturday — Willis Habel, 50, of Templeton was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 422 near the Graff Bridge in Manor Township, Armstrong County..

4:50 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Michael Armentrout, 22, of Slippery Rock and Kenneth Mason Jr., 63, of Washington, Pa., collided on Perry Highway in Springfield Township, Mercer County. Agas meter was damaged in the crash.Police cited Armentrout for an undisclosed traffic violation
