Theresa and Mark Walter

Theresa Wahler and Mark Walter of Butler were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. May 19 at Alameda Park in Butler Township. Evans City District Judge Wayne Seibel officiated. A reception followed at the Days Inn in Butler Township.

The bride was presented for marriage by her stepfather Ken Smith and her uncle Allen Naimark.

The bride is the daughter of Ken and Susan Smith of Lyndora and the late John Wahler. The bridegroom's parents are Mark and Angela Walter of Butler.

Serving the bride as matron of honor was Peggy Brown of Butler. Bridesmaids were Jamie Wahler, Jennifer Smith and Loretta Carter, all of Butler; and Jane Naimark of Connoquenessing. Justine Jardin of Butler was the flower girl.

Serving as best man was Anthony Walter of Butler. Ushers were Jerimiah Williams of Columbus, Ohio; Chris Kudamik and Pete Zablotsky, both of Butler; and Gilbert "Gibby" McNie of Lexington, Ky. Garrett Clark of Latrobe was the ring bearer.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Butler High School. She is employed by PJAX Freight Systems in Gibsonia.

The bridegroom graduated in 2000 from Butler High School and has pursued management studies at Slippery Rock University. He is employed by Advanced Auto Parts in Ellwood City.

After a wedding trip to the Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort in Jamaica, the couple is making their home in Butler.
