CENTER TWP — The Butler Branch of the American Association of University Women will host its annual book sale from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Clearview Mall, Clearview Circle.

Books will be sold for $5 a bag on Sunday. Proceeds from the sale benefit local and national education programs.

CABOT — Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host its annual Oktoberfest celebration from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday behind the Haven III and Lund Buildings, Marwood Road.The event will include the dedication of the newly expanded Lund Care Center. Activities will be available for children and food will be sold.

CHICORA — Author Kim Armstrong will be available to sign her book "Hope and Healing, A Nurse's Story,"from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Chicora United Methodist Church, Central Avenue.
