6 people are arrested in Butler drug raid

Heroin, crack, pot confiscated

Six people were arrested Friday during a drug raid in Butler by the Butler County Drug Task Force and members of the state police.

Arrested were:

• Anthony Jackson, 25, 122 W. Quarry St., charged with sale-delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility. He was arraigned by District Judge Sue Haggerty and sent to the Butler County Prison on a $30,000 bond.

• Rea Lee Holderman, 18, of 112 Third Ave., charged with possession with the intent to deliver heroin and possession of heroin. She was sent to prison on a $5,000 bond.

• John Jameel Jackson, 29, 2517 Spring Way, Pittsburgh, charged with delivery of a controlled substance cocaine, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine. He was placed on a $5,000 bond for those charges; he is also is charged with criminal conspiracy and was placed on a $10,000 bond. He was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana and placed on a $5,000 bond.

• Brandy L. Scott, 19, 3927 Route 208, Kennerdell, Venango County, charged with possession of marijuana.

• Robert Brophy, age and address unknown, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and a Butler County bench warrant; no bond.

• Michael Johnston, age and address unknown, of Butler, charged with criminal conspiracy to unlawful delivery of heroin.

The news release from Butler County Det. Pat Cannon states this is just "some" of those arrested. He also said this was the first "large-scale" raid of its type and there are plans to do this type of raid later.

Cannon was unavailable for comment this morning.

The State Police Narcotics Unit, city police, Butler Township police, Evans City K-9 unit, Butler County District Attorney's office and the Butler Memorial Hospital paramedic coordinator participated in the raid.

Officers confiscated 25 bags of heroin, crack, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
